Spoiling Roe

I am constantly working on projects for my niece. The latest, and I am angry I am not done with them yet but I have been sick for almost 2 weeks, are a few summer dresses for her to wear this season. I hope to be done with them this weekend.

When she comes over she loves my old rocking chair my Dad gave me.

I decided for her birthday she needed one of her own. I bought it online and painted her name on it.

I started by printing off letters, cutting them out, and taping them into the chair and using a pencil to trace. I mixed the pink shade with a white and a red paint, and after it tried I used a small brush to outline it in brown. After touching it up, Brian put a coat of poly over it so she can't scratch it off.

..I think she liked it. I will be remembering this for future babies!

Also, over Christmas I decided to make (with help from Mom) a Christmas Tree shirt for her to wear for Santa. You make it by collecting scrap ribbon, cutting them into different sizes, and sewing them on. Unfortunately, the sewing by hand didn't last and she had a couple of them ripped off, so we know for next time, but it started like this:

I asked Roe how she feels about the fact that her aunt is way too obsessed with spoiling her rotten. I think she's okay with it!

In an earlier post I learned to make drawstring dresses. I tried it on her this weekend to see if they fit! They are a little long so I need to hem them, but here she is sporting it:

It's a little baggy, so it will be perfect by summer!

Updated 3/5 Here are the rest of her new dresses:

She will be the most stylish baby out there!

 Best buddies.
