Baby Easter Tee

I saw a similar tutorial to this and had to try it!

You need:
Sewing machine and white thread
Any kind of yellow fabric, I just bought a remnant.
1 sheet of orange felt
2 black buttons
Orange ric rac
1 baby tshirt
Hot glue gun

Iron fabric.

I chose fabric that kind of looked like feathers!

Cut 2 inch strips, I ended up only using 5.

Fold one side over about 1/4", iron, then do other side.

 It will make strips.
 Pin the strips.

Sew down each hem on the strips.

 Finished strips with a hem.

Make a straight stitch down the center to use to pull to make the ruffle.

Pull to make a ruffle.

Pin to a piece of orange felt, about a 5 inch square. Pin and sew straight across.

Keep adding ruffles.

When finished, cut into an egg shape.
Sew around the edge so the ruffles don't come undone.

Cut 2 inch pieces of ric rac, hot glue onto the back and then put a few stitches through to secure.

Cut a small triangle from the felt and glue for a nose.

With the remaining 2 ruffles, pin to the sleeves. Slowly stitch around making sure that the underneath side of the sleeve doesn't get stuck in the stitch.

Tada! Funcle Brian is jealous of Roe's new shirt. I think he needs one of his own.

Happy Easter!
H.
